ABOUT
Hi, my name is Julie Hennessy, and I've lived on Cape Cod since 1986. I grew up in western Mass, but my family traveled to the Cape for every summer vacation. It is my love of the ocean that brought me back here to continue my career as a letter carrier for the USPS, vc in the Hyannis area. I live in Centerville with my husband Bob, a retired firefighter and carpenter. I have been blessed with two amazing sons, Tom and Joe & wife Soran, and two amazing stepsons, Matt and Drew & wife Ashley, and two beautiful granddaughters.

I have been practicing yoga since 2011, and teaching since 2016. The first yoga class I ever took was at a gym, and I didn't know what to expect. It was the most difficult "exercise" class I had ever taken, and every muscle in my body ached, but I knew I wanted more. After about 5 years of practicing yoga 3-4 times a week, I decided to deepen my practice by enrolling in a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Boston Yoga School. One of the things they stressed in the training was to always be a student and to never stop learning, which I have strived to do in my yoga journey. I just recently retired from the USPS, after 35 and a half years of delivering mail, and in my spare time I love to explore the Cape with my husband, who is my biggest fan!

I teach Slow Flow, Yin, and Yin & Restorative classes throughout the Cape, as a way to allow people to slow down from their busy lives and really tune into what they are feeling in their bodies.
I found Beautycounter back in 2017, and fell in love with the way the products worked, but also their mission, "to get safer products into the hands of everyone." I became a consultant with them mainly for the discount (who can blame me?), but I also love the personal connections it brings into my life. Presently Beautycounter is on a hiatus to overhaul their website, they should return in the summer of 2025.
